We took our first family road trip to Washington DC. It was about 750 miles so didn't know how the car ride would be. We always fly on our trips to Texas. We thought we would be brave and try it. The girls were little angels!!! DVD players are life savers. Addison just wanted to watch Woody (Toy Story) all day long.
We were going for my Uncle Bill's burial service at Arlington National Cemetery. My entire extended family was there. It was a great trip.
We stayed in Durham, NC on our first night. It was a treat because I always loved Duke University growing up but haven't ever seen it. We stopped to look at the campus the next day.
Going to the Cameron Indoor Stadium. I actually saw Duke when a final four when I was in 5th or 6th grade so these uniforms brought back memories.
We then had another 4 hour drive to get to my sister, Jennifer's house. They live near Washington DC. Everyone met at Five Guys to eat when we got in town.
We took a little scenic trip to Old Town in Alexandria, VA. Here is me and 2 of my sisters. Jennifer was with my nephew, Josh, at basketball practice.
Addison getting in Sister's pack and play and cuddling with her.
